World known Cantor
Dov Heller
Cantor Dov Heller was born in Jerusalem's Mea Shearim neighborhood to a family belonging to the Karlin-Stolin Hasidim. He grew up in a musical home where he absorbed a cantorial and Jewish music and was a disciple of Cantor Moshe Stern.
Dov served for three years as cantor in Montreal, Canada, in the "Shomrim LeBoker" congregation. He also appeared in many synagogues in Israel and around the world, including the largest synagogues in Jerusalem, Netanya, Petah Tikva, Ramat Gan in Israel and in synagogues throughout the world: in Stuttgart, Germany, the Shul in Miami, Florida, Beit E-l in Brooklyn, New York, Moscow, Johannesburg, Ukraine and more.
Heller performed in cantorial concerts with the world's greatest cantors, among them Yitzhak Meir Helfgott, Benzion Miller, Israel Rand, Motzen and others. He has a dramatic lyrical baritone voice. He performs cantorial pieces, as well as Yiddish songs, Israeli and Hasidic songs.
